October 11: Freemark Abbey Wine Dinner

woman sitting on a couch holding a glass of wine

Join us for a special evening celebrating the wines of one of Napa’s oldest wineries – Freemark Abbey. Kristy Melton is at the helm as the 8th winemaker since the winery’s inception in 1886. She is the second female winemaker since Josephine Tychson started the winery more than 137 years ago. The wines are made with much finesse, structure, and age-worthiness. They are drinking beautifully now. Freemark Abbey sources grapes from some of the valley’s most iconic vineyard sites including Sycamore and Bosche.

We will showcase five wines including three cabernet sauvignons – one is a blend from two vineyards and the next two single vineyard wines used in the blend. Darrin Williams, the Northwest Regional Manager-Estates Division (Jackson Family Wines), will host the evening. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wines, how they are made, and the terroir where the grapes are sourced.

The San Juans will be in the height of the fall harvest season. Chef will incorporate local ingredients in the menu offerings paired with these amazing wines. The dinner is $85 with the optional $85 wine pairing. There is one seating at 6 p.m.
