Countdown to Christmas #4: Peppermint Dark Chocolate Truffles

From now until December 24, we’ll be counting down the days until Christmas by sharing a special series of sweet treats and savory snacks from the Coho Restaurant kitchen. Let us know what’s cooking in yours this holiday season!

Peppermint Dark Chocolate Truffles

2 cups of leftover chocolate cake, crumbled
1/4 cup milk
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1/2 cup melted dark chocolate
cocoa powder for coating

Using a food processor, pulse to combine cake, milk, cream cheese, and peppermint extract. Stop to add melted chocolate and pulse until incorporated.

Scrape into a bowl and chill until firm, about 30 minutes.

Roll into bite-sized piece and coat in cocoa powder.
