May 26: Coho Restaurant’s 16th Anniversary Barbecue Bash at Brickworks

Celebrate the holiday weekend and Coho Restaurant’s anniversary. Live music from Flipside. It’s goin’ be a smokin’ good time!

Chef Ryan is smokin’ up a fun afternoon filled with classic barbecue favorites and music from Flipside. Choose 1 – 2 mains (smoked brisket, pulled pork, pulled jack fruit, smoked chicken), a couple of sides (kickin’ baked beans, farmer’s coleslaw, pimento mac and cheese, southern collards with ham, potato salad with sweet honey vinaigrette) and classic corn or Hawaiian bread and you have the fixin’s for a great meal. Grab a glass of sweet tea or lemonade and a piece of rhubarb cobbler or a banana pudding. Combo meals start at $22/per person.

First come, first served, beginning at 4 p.m. and running until sold out. Music until 7.

About the Band

Local bank Flipside’s members are all from Friday Harbor and are local performers from other bands or entertainment groups. Members are; Stacey Smith-Brown (lead vocals), Dan Brown (bass guitar/vocals), Scott Sluis (drums/percussion/vocals), Christopher Maguire (lead & rhythm guitars/vocals), and Michelle Coleman (keyboards/vocals). The band has a very eclectic set list that will be sure to jog those memories. Artists they cover are; Linda Ronstadt, Michael Jackson, The Church, B-52s, Dolly Parton, Bill Withers, The Killers, Chaka Khan, The Pretenders, Roberta Flack, Fleetwood Mac, k.d. lang, Men at Work and many more. The band is available for all types of occasions from private and public events to weddings and background music.
