May 28: Coho Restaurant’s 15th Anniversary Barbecue Bash at Brickworks
Join us May 28 from 1–4 p.m. for great food and music from Flipside. Smoked brisket & chicken, pulled pork, pulled jack fruit. Plus pick your sides: baked beans, farmer’s coleslaw, mac ‘n cheese, collard greens, potato salad, corn bread, Hawaiian rolls, banana pudding, and rhubarb cobbler. Combo meals from $19/person. Music until 4 p.m. and food until sold out, so come early!
About the Band
Local bank Flipside’s members are all from Friday Harbor and are local performers from other bands or entertainment groups. Members are; Stacey Smith-Brown (lead vocals), Dan Brown (bass guitar/vocals), Scott Sluis (drums/percussion/vocals), Christopher Maguire (lead & rhythm guitars/vocals), and Michelle Coleman (keyboards/vocals). The band has a very eclectic set list that will be sure to jog those memories. Artists they cover are; Linda Ronstadt, Michael Jackson, The Church, B-52s, Dolly Parton, Bill Withers, The Killers, Chaka Khan, The Pretenders, Roberta Flack, Fleetwood Mac, k.d. lang, Men at Work and many more. The band is available for all types of occasions from private and public events to weddings and background music.
