From now until December 24, we’ll be counting down the days until Christmas by sharing a special series of sweet treats and savory snacks from the Coho Restaurant kitchen. Let us know what’s cooking in yours this holiday season!

Peppermint Hot Cocoa Mix

4 cups powdered sugar
2.5 cups cocoa powder
2 T cornstarch
5 cups powdered milk
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups ground hard peppermint candy
4 cups mini chocolate chips

Using a food processor, grind hard peppermint candy into small chips. Sift the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch into a larger bowl to remove any lumps. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix together with a whisk until evenly combined.

Store in an airtight container or portion out into individual jars and you’ll have great homemade gifts on hand this season!
